The Highway of Prayer

In this message Eric shares how often the Church wants to take the backroads to revival instead of taking the highway God prepared for us, which is through prayer. In Numbers 13, once Israel came out of Egypt they should have made it to the Promise Land the land of Canaan in less than 2 weeks. After Moses sent the spies, including Joshua and Caleb, to check out the Promise Land God already gave to Israel, the spies came back with a report. Joshua and Caleb had a good report while others said that Israel should not go in. Even though the men and woman of prayer were willing to go into the Promise Land, the rest of Israel chose not to go in, so Israel wandered in the desert for the next 40 years. I believe this message today will encourage those of you who have prayed for revival but have not seen others pursuing God for revival in prayer. Stuck Between Resurrection and Ascension

When Jesus rose from the dead many under the Old Covenant who had died prior, rose again with Jesus (Mt 27:52-53). Those who rose with Jesus were seen in Jerusalem until Jesus ascended to heaven. Since Jesus' ascension He has been in a posture of prayer for the Church (Hebrews 7:25). Once we realize as we are born again and that we too have been risen with Christ we realize two things. First, that we are spiritually seated with Christ in heavenly places and second, we continue to demonstrate His kingdom on earth in our physical bodies. This “in between” period until Jesus comes again is a time where we must allow our faith in Jesus to determine our identity and purpose. The more we realize who we are in Christ the better we will use our gifts to reveal who Jesus is. Interview with Pastor David de Carvalho of Mokuaikaua Hawai’i’s 1st Christian Church

Join Revival Cry Podcast host Eric Miller as he interviews Pastor David de Carvalho of Mokuaikaua, Hawaii’s 1st Christian Church in Kona Hawaii. Born in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, Pastor David moved to Hawaii in 1981 fell in love with Hawaii and the Hawaiian people and has called the Big Island his home ever since. Listen as Pastor David shares his testimony, work with YWAM and the vision God gave him which eventually led him to becoming the pastor of Mokuaikaua Church. The first missionaries to arrive in the islands were from New England. 14 missionaries (seven couples) and four Hawaiian boys left Boston. They arrived in Hawaii after 164 days. While at sea, King Kamehameha the Great died, his son Liholiho became ruler, and the ancient kapu system was abolished, with no belief system to take its place.
